Warrant Officer Nobuo Fujita flew into the rising sun over the forests of southern Oregon and dropped two incendiary bombs in hopes of starting massive forest fires.

The Japanese sub I-25 lobbed about 17 rounds at what they thought was a US Submarine base at the mouth of the Columbia River. The Japanese sub slipped away after no response from the Americans at the fort. No casualties on shore and minimal damage.

On a bright spring morning a group of children were taken on an outing by a Pastor and his wife.  Mrs. Mitchell and the kids found a strange device and before Archie Mitchell could warn them, they disturbed the balloon bomb and it exploded, killing all six that had gathered around to investigate it. The only civilian casualties in the USA in all of World War Two.
